Dragon Swimming Holiday Giving
Thank you so much to all that have signed up to bring a gift for Key2Free. We are almost there - only a few empty slots left! Please remember to bring your gift to practice no later than Friday morning as everything will be picked up mid-morning on Friday. Thanks again.
- Coach Arredondo
Every year the Dragon Swim Team and their Families are asked to help out the community around them during the holiday season. Due to the size and generous nature of Dragon Swimming, we have been able to make a huge difference in the lives of many families and organizations designed to help out the less fortunate.
This year we will be helping out an organization in Georgetown called Key2Free, which has made it their goal to "prevent and end trafficking through education in our schools, awareness in our local communities, and aftercare solutions for survivors of trafficking and exploitation. We accomplish this mission by creating a safe, quality environment, providing access to supportive community-based services and educating the public and at-risk youth about trafficking." This is a great organization aimed at helping those that have been through some incredibly dark times start a new life for themselves and their children.
Below you will find a google sheet with the wants and needs of the center. Please sign up to donate an item on the list if you are able to help out this season. I know this is semi-short notice, but if all items could be brought to practice this week - no later than Friday Morning - that would be ideal as the center is hosting a holiday party for the ladies and children in their program next weekend. Please wrap and mark baby items with the age of the recipient
